It's Sunday morning. In Spain, anyway. North America is mostly in bed. Or making it. (its bed.)

I feel like spilling my guts. Or at least airing them out awhile.

I can't write for shit these days. Last night I read a poem I had written for somebody in November and it meant something. I'm not sure what exactly is spurring the dry spell. This has definitely been a less reflective period. I've just been doing things instead of thinking about them. I left all my angst at Toronto Pearson. I can see it slowly making it's circuit on the baggage claim carousel.

Airports. They have been the punch line for all my jokes lately. and I have been the butt of theirs. Ha. Some of the funniest stuff on this trip has happened in airports. Like my three day dirty spell the other week.

The Friday before last I had to go from Barcelona to Madrid in preparation for this two day job I got in the Canary Islands (L'Oréal hairshow, HIV/AIDS benefit not unlike FASHION CARES). Actually there was no logical reason for the trip to Madrid. But apparently it was necessary to leave Barcelona at 9:20pm and head to Madrid for the night so that I could meet a few other models the next day and travel together to Grand Canary Saturday morning (there are lots of direct flights from Barcelona however).

Anyway, my bag got lost on the one hour flight to Madrid. Air Europa conveniently retrieved and returned it to my Barcelona address so that it was waiting for me when I got back on Sunday night. I mean, I guess it's no big deal that I wore the same outfit for three days, or that during every fitting my polkadot green boycut undies were boldly on display for the styling team and the other models. Or that, because it wasn't until Saturday evening before I could get to a pharmacy, listerine pocket packs filled in for teeth-brushing and the makeup artists' wetnaps replaced deodorant. Yum. I mean it was a good reminder about the differences between luxuries, conveniences and necessities. And I mean at least I didn't have to unpack and then pack my bag. Or wait for it at baggage claim.

So much for gut-spilling. I'm going back to bed.

Jenna Judd is a Ford model.
