Discovered  At a convention called ProScout. I had gone the year before and only got one call back, which I decided I didn't want to do anything about. The following year they called and asked if I wanted to go to the convention again, I declined because I was playing volleyball and there was a tournament that same weekend. A few weeks before the event I decided I wanted to go, so I went and got scouted by a few agents. Good thing I decided to go or else I wouldn't be where I am today!

Best Modelling Moment  I think I have two:

  • First being when my agent Pat called me (about three months after scouting me) to tell me that an agency in Bangkok was interested in me and if I wanted to go I would be leaving in about four months. This would be my first international trip and I couldn't believe everything had happened so soon!
  • Second would be when I got my first big job in Bangkok. My booker called me and told me I had gotten the job for Amway (Artistry, to be exact). I would be on billboards as well as in magazines... so exciting! To go with that, when they sent me one of the magazines I was in and I opened it, seeing my face right there!

  • Awkward Modelling Moment  I could think of a few that come from the TVC castings in Bangkok, one being a casting for orange juice, which happened to have lots of pulp in it. I had to drink the juice and then smile afterwards. After drinking it, there was pulp everywhere in my teeth! So before smiling I was trying to clean all the pulp off with my tongue and then when I eventually smiled there was still pulp in my teeth and on my lips! Another one would be the numerous castings where they make you talk to your "friend" sitting across from you at the table, or dancing and laughing by yourself!

Favourite Market  There is something about each market I've been to that I enjoy. But I would have to say that Hong Kong was my favorite so far! It was easy to get around, taking the MTR usually, the castings were quick and there was tons of shopping! I also have family there so that was a big help as well. Bangkok I also quite enjoy, it teaches you to be patient, having to wait at castings as each model gets their hair and makeup done. Shanghai I loved for the sightseeing and different places to go within the city. My agency always brought in Canadians, so I lived with four other Canadian girls the whole time I was there... can't complain about that!

Favourite Model  Hmmm I have a few. The ones that make the top of the list would be Coco Rocha, Christy Turlington and Irina Lazareanu

Most embarrassing song on your iPod   Probably the Backstreet Boys or maybe Cher or Fleetwood Mac (which were both my friends idea to put on my iPod!)
