A job the American Intercontinental University's styling class (which took place Thursday the 16th of June) was one of the most interesting jobs I've ever done. 17 or so 19-year-old bubblegum-chewing students ("Haai! Am from Texxis!!") were being taught by a leather-clad-clone-of-Prince teacher. I had to bring my own makeup and black & white clothes. Every ten seconds a girl would come to me and say super excitedly, "HA! Ma name's so-and-so, and A have no Adea what Am doing! But could you put this bandana on?? Do you laak it? Ooh, this is SO FUN!"

Friday... erm, American Intercontinental University again!! This time it was their graduate fashion show. Loads of waiting around, squishing in the tiny, hot and humid backstage, and of course, nudity! I was quite surprised that they strategically placed a female model rack of clothes next to a male model rack, then female, then male. If I were a few years younger I would have seriously been embarrassed to have to quickly throw my bra off in front of a bunch of guys with skyrocketing testosterone. As a matter of fact, I still was embarrassed, but this time I just turned away and gave them a dirty, dirty look if anyone was (inevitably) staring. It all turned out well, though. I was interviewed at the end. They asked what I thought of the clothes. I said they clothes were a disaster and anyone crazy enough to wear such clothes would experience a stroke of supernatural diasters. I'm kidding, as you may have noticed. They really were so beautiful, artistic, well made, and I was very, very impressed.

Saturday the 18th of June was ammmaaazing! Test shoot! I have a little thing for test shoots. I have so much fun with them. But this one didn't feel like a test shoot. The makeup/hair artist and the photographer were very experienced, and it was shot 30 minutes outside London in an area called Hertfordshire County. It was so nice to get out of the city and just soak in the air. We shot two beauty looks; one inside the sudio (a converted Methodist church from the early 30's), and the second in this long, narrow, treeless field with dense green forest on each side called the Golden Valley. It was uniquely beautiful. To add to the excitement of it all, according to the photographer, a few scenes from the 3rd Harry Potter movie was shot there. A man-made, thick, stone fence was also left behind there from a historical film that hasn't come out yet, that has Robert De Niro in it. Everyone, say it with me: "Oooooh, Robert De Niro!"

My last day in London I snuck off to hang out with Sophia Mallig, who is a fantastic designer, and a new friend!

Next day, I miss my train to Paris. So, I wait around Waterloo Station analyzing the hats all the ladies were wearing to the Royal Ascot. It was a great farewell to London. So, I take another train later on after I've had my share of hats. I sit beside a nice lady from Vancouver. I wait an hour in a line-up for a taxi, and head over to the Boul de la Madeleine, where my agency is located.

All I can say for the moment is that I've never been in love like this before. I love walking around this city all day, doing castings and go-sees, seeing where I end up. I love where I'm living, my big, museum-like bedroom, renting from an 89 year old lady who wants me to call her "Mami", and doesn't speak a word of English.

This weekend I shall do a 10 minute walk over to visit my new neighbour, the Sacre Coeur, and go to the café with my Next Canada sweetheart friend, Adrienne.

Laaala Lalaaa!
