Sutherland Models took the whole idea of a "lineup" and twisted it a little, with assistance of photographer Hamish Kippen. The results are pretty spectacular.
Modelresource has received five show packages in the past couple of weeks, so we're going to start rolling them out beginning Monday.
Also, with castings now underway, we're once again offering up our list of casting tips.
The 22-year-old Next model has been building relationships with Parisian and German clientele since then, resulting in some pretty great additions to her book.
The cover on the right is from the beauty issue of German Vogue, which goes nicely with her recent editorial in Greek Vogue, an editorial & cover of Costume Magazine, a German Nivea campaign, one for Lise Watier closer to home, and a cover for Clin d'Oeil.
Not bad for someone many agencies wouldn't have looked at because of her 5'7" frame.

Elmer Olsen's Amanda Laine for Prada photo: catwalking.com
The winner of that contest was Elmer Olsen's Amanda Laine, a 16-year-old from Central Ontario, that was discovered at a high school basketball game, by the mother of Audrey Gair.
After four days of shooting the looks for Prada, Laine was added as a last minute confirmation, and made her Milan debut just yesterday afternoon.
Pretty cool, eh?
Keep watching this one.

Ford's Kate Somers on Models.com
Well this is no surprise.
You only have to go back as far as January 10th to see Modelresource's prediction that this would be the year of Kate Somers.
That forecast was largely based on what we witnessed last show season when the young Ford model established herself as (in this website's humble opinion) "probably the best runway model based in Toronto."
Now Models.com has also taken note, naming Somers one of the Top 10 newcomers this season.
The 5'11" red head is currently in Milano, where she has already been spotted in Gianfranco Ferre and Jil Sander, the latter of which is regarded as one of the most select runways a new model can walk.

Next's Kelsey Van Mook
Kelsey Van Mook is back in Canada these days, following a rather impressive first season in New York.
The Next new face did 13 shows in her first Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week before returning to the Great White North.
Stephanie Shiu meanwhile, is now based in the Big Apple, where she did four shows interupted by a couple of money jobs that took her away from the runway.

Still, the Vancouver model did manage to find time to open Rock & Republic, as well as appear in Baby Phat, Michael Angel and Arthur Mendonça.
Watch for Shiu on the cover of the upcoming French, and in Allure (shot by Michael Thompson).
Both models are also expected in Toronto for the upcoming L'Oréal Fashion Week.

It seems like every couple of month we're writing about the latest Abercrombie shoot, featuring Canadian models.
This time we're talking about two models already known to Modelresource readers.
Cathy Charest, who's Jan/Feb LOU LOU cover is still sitting on my desk, is joined by last week's MOTW, Anaïs Pouliot.
The pair of Folio models are in Florida this week, with legendary lensman Bruce Weber.
If you get the chance to see the magazine itself, flip through to the rather impressive and colourful story by Montréal photographers Leda & St-Jacques.
The lengthy spread is devoted to Canadian talent, and features three of this country's top models: Bernier, Elyse Saunders, and Honorine Uwera.

In hockey it's called the Sophomore Jinx - a term applied to those that have stellar rookie campaigns, then come out flat the following season.
With the help of our new editorial assistant, Chelsea Coyle, Modelresource has been tracking the shows closely this season, poring over websites and staying in touch with agencies to track who is doing what.
McIntyre, we're happy to report, was a frequent fixture at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, walking in 18 shows that we spotted.
Alana Zimmer opening TopShop Unique photo: Marcio Madeira, Style.com
Not surprisingly we counted Alana Zimmer (Elmer Olsen) on the more runways than any other Canadian (24 confirmed sightings, including the opening position for Bill Blass and the closing slot in the highly coveted Marc Jacobs show).
Coco Rocha (Charles Stuart/Specs/Elite) walked no less than 20 catwalks.
Amongst the Canadians making their NYC debuts, Kate Somers had the strongest start, appearing in at least 14 shows, including opening for Vera Wang's Lavender presentation, and booking high profile placements in Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jill Stuart, Vera Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Ruffian; as well as for Toronto designers Jeremy Laing and Arthur Mendonça.
London shows are now underway, and we've already sighted Alana Zimmer in Jaeger, and opening for Top Shop Unique.

Sutherland's Paméla Bernier
The staff at Sutherland are feeling pretty swell these days, and with good reason.
Paméla Bernier's remarkable face is currently on the cover of Elle Canada AND Fashion Magazine, looking oh so ready to take the fashion world whenever she chooses.
Simona McIntyre meanwhile, is marching all over the runways of New York this week. Her mother agent, Chantale Nadeau, tells Modelresource the Kelowna model had done 15 shows prior to Wednesday, including closing Philosophy.
Simon Tham has booked Abercrombie, to shoot this weekend with Bruce Weber, while Alicia Hughes just returned from the Mayan Riviera, where she shot a couple editorials for Clin d'Oeil with Montréal photographer Brian Ypperciel.
With the Toronto shows now just over a month away, Modelresource has also been led to believe Sutherland has another stellar showpackage in the works... keep watching...

Next's Kim Cloutier photo: Leda & St-Jacques
Modelresource has an early look at some images from the new Point Zéro campaign, shot by Leda & St-Jacques.
Both from Vancouver - Next's Van Mook started fashion week with appearance for Canada's Jeremy Laing, then added James Coviello and Twinkle.
Liz Bell's Jones meanwhile, landed in NYC four days ago, made her first appearance at DKNY, and has since "booked a bunch of shows" according to Bell.

Ford's Kate Somers
The shows in New York are now underway, and Modelresource has been watching to see which Canadians are making an early buzz in their first show seasons.
Through four days we've already spotted Ford's Kate Somers in five shows, including the opening position for Vera Wang Lavender.
Also making a strong start is Elmer Olsen's Tamara McDonald, who has been spotted on four runways already, not including the Nina Ricci Pre-Fall show she did recently.

Just ahead of show season Modelresource has its February list of the Top 50 Canadian models, and several of the changes are significant.
We've altered the formula our judging panel uses to add some clarity, and scored a major coup in recruiting FASHION Magazine's Tammy Eckenswiller (The Plutino Group) to add her expertise.
Deemed the best dressed in 2007 by the Toronto Star, Eckenswiller is considered one of Canada's foremost fashion influencers. Now based in New York City, she is involved in all levels of conceptualization including model casting, hair & makeup, wardrobe and creative direction, and boasts a client list that includes Holt Renfrew, Redken, Birks, Bonne Bell, and American Express.
Chelsea Coyle
You may have noticed Modelresource has been much more busier so far in 2008, and for that we can thank our new Editorial Assistant, Chelsea Coyle, who also happens to be a model with Michèle Miller in Barrie.
