This, I believe, is one of the most underrated models in Canada.
Since launching with much fanfare at Elmer Olsen's inaugural bootcamp a few years ago, Tara Gill has gone on to do some very impressive editorials and campaigns, while walking scores of runways along the way.
Most Canadians would recognize her from Jacob, Jacob Connexion and Jacob Lingerie storefronts, but internationally she was also all over Alexander McQueen's website a couple years back, and did Guy Laroche's F/W 2009 campaign.
Now, we're happy to report, the 5'11" brunette also appears in the new worldwide Herve Leger campaign.

NEW FACE ALERT
Well done, Cynthia Cully!
The owner of Spot 6 was at a school play about six months ago, where she found this girl.
5'9" Cassidy Sadler flew to Paris earlier this summer (on her 16th birthday, incidentally) and spend three-and-a-half weeks there.
The highlight of the trip: walking in the Eric Tibusch couture show.

Modelresource is keeping an eye on Dulcedo's Vince, who had a great first season of men's shows.
Pictured below is a collection of runway images put together by the 6'2" brunette's agency, featuring appearances is Hermès, Dries Van Noten, Commes des Garçons, Neil Barrett and Giuliano Fujiwara.
Also shown below is Vince in the new issue of Montréal's Nightlife Magazine, photographed by Saad Al-Hakkak (www.saadvision.com).

Lexington's 5'6" Chantelle for Third Floor photo: Matthew Burditt
We had quite a few scouts in Toronto last week, and one of the discussions I entered into centered on how much more selective international agencies are becoming in terms of height.
A few factors contribute to this:
In the last decade the internet has become practically ubiquitous, meaning scouting 5'11" girls is so much easier.
A deflated economy means fewer opportunities, so clients are being more selective.
The population is generally taller than it used to be.
In spite of those limiting circumstances, there is also more work than in the past.
Entire campaigns are being done for strictly online purposes, and newly emerging economies like South Korea, mainland China and India are suddenly clamouring for international models.
The diminutive brunette - a mere 5'6" according to her agency's website - built an impressive work list in Vancouver before leaving for Seoul earlier this summer.
There until August, her highlights so far include a Speedo campaign and shooting for Maxim.

Filler Magazine, as we mentioned yesterday, just released their summer 2010 issue.
I got a first look at this guy in early June, when Key Model Management owner Darren Dahl tipped me off.
Jeremy is a 6'1" new face from Pitt Meadows, B.C., who started just weeks earlier, after being discovered on the street by photographer Zenaida Kwong.
Already we're seeing him in the pages of Vancouver Fashion eZine, photographed by Matthew Burditt (www.matthewburditt.org).
Blonde hair, blue eyes, and of German/Irish decent, the 19-year-old is also a choreographer/dancer, actor and singer who plays piano.

A couple weeks ago Models.com featured Ottawa's Herieth Paul as their Model of the Week and a strange thing happened: the comments section (see it here) was overwhelmingly postive.
Perhaps more remarkably, the notoriously snarky devotees to theFashionSpot were almost equally enthusiastic about the Tanzanian-born teen.
Is this 5'11" Angie's product the next in line to Yasmin, Ubah, Ayan and Honorine as African-born stars that got their start in Canada?
We'll be watching...

NEW FACE ALERT
Expect to see much more from this one in the years ahead.
Yana is a 13-year-old recently signed to Agence Emme in Vancouver.
Already, we're told, the 5'9½" rookie shot a major hair campaign, while agencies in New York and Europe are taking serious interest.

Spot 6's Paul T starts Bello readers thinking toward autumn, with this outdoorsy story shot by Lindsey Drennan (www.lindseydrennan.com).
The 20-year-old - who moved to Toronto only a couple months ago - is a dual citizen, with one parent from each side of the world's longest undefended border.
Also placed with Montage, the 6'0" brunette is taking the rest of the summer off, before heading to Miami in September.
Back in December Modelresource drew attention to the fact that while most of Canada's population was being blasted with winter, Mackenzie Duncan was surfing Kiwi coasts.
I'm not sure how that ended up landing him a spread in New Zealand's Pilot magazine, but as Elastica reminds us, somehow the vital connection is made.
Featured here is Next's Sarah Chinerman in the story "We live in realms beyond the sky."

Here's another new Canadian export to keep your eye on.
This is 6'1" Evan Rochon, who according to Modelresource's Men's Editor Matthew Lyn, was discovered recently by a Montréal hairstylist, and after continued prodding was eventually convinced to give modelling a shot.
Lyn (www.matthewlyn.com) did the 19-year-old's first shoot, the results of which are here.
Modelling already for five years, Anaïs Pouliot picked 2010 to break out in a big way.
Modelresource has been following the Lachenaie, Québec brunette since she appeared on LOU LOU's cover in 2007, and picked her as our Featured Model in February of the following year.
